Carl Lewis:Olympics need Phelps

Nine-time Olympic gold medal winner Carl Lewis says swimmer Michael Phelps, who passed his career win tally in Beijing, is exactly what sport needs.


Lewis, who won gold over four Olympics in track and field, says comparisons with Phelps, who is pursuing Mark Spitz' single Games gold record, don't work, but he's a big fan of the swimmer.
