Reigning Wimbledon champions Serena Williams and Venus Williams of United States defeated French Open champions Anabel Medina Garrigues and Virginia Ruano Pascual of Spain 6-2, 6-0 to capture the gold medal in the Women's Doubles Tennis at the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games on August 17.
