Jamie Murray and his partner Liezel Huber will contest the US Open mixed doubles final

The Briton, 22, and 32-year-old South African Huber will play fifth seeds Cara Black and Leander Paes.

"We made the semis last year and it's good to go one better and reach the final, but we will be looking for another win," said Murray.

Murray and Huber saw off Americans Jill Craybas and Eric Butorac 6-3 6-4 on Wednesday to reach the final.

Murray's brother Andy reached the semi-finals of the men's singles on Wednesday when he beat Juan Martin del Potro in four sets.

Jamie Murray captured his first Grand Slam title in the 2007 Wimbledon mixed doubles alongside Serbia's Jelena Jankovic.

The Scot reached the last four at Flushing Meadows last year and at Wimbledon this summer with Huber.
