Zaheer khan gains seven places in Test bowling list
Zaheer Khan's man of the match effort in Bangalore has helped him jump seven places to 11th spot in the International Cricket Council's rankings for Test bowler.
Zaheer took six wickets in the drawn match, including 5-96 in the first innings.
Things were not that rosy for Indian captain Anil Kumble though. Kumble, who did not pick a single wicket in the match, lost eight places, plummeting from 10th position to 18th.
Michael Hussey's maiden century on Indian soil has taken him to the top of the batting charts.
Hussey, who smashed 146 in the first innings, jumped two spots leaving behind Shivnaraine Chanderpaul and Kumar Sangakkara, who occupies second and third spot respectively.
Hussey held the top position for a brief period earlier this year during his side's tour of the Caribbean.
Ricky Ponting stays in fourth spot despite scoring his maiden Test century.
It isn't all good news for the batsmen though with Matthew Hayden, Michael Clarke and Rahul Dravid all slipping two places. Hayden now lies in ninth spot with Clarke further back in 15th position and Dravid managing to stay in 18th.
V.V.S. Laxman gains one place to 14th but Virender Sehwag falls back one spot to 11th and Sachin Tendulkar drops back another place to 24th.
The bowling list is still led by Muttiah Muralitharan of Sri Lanka, followed closely by Stuart Clark of Australia and South Africa's Dale Steyn
