Flintoff rues failure to capitalise on good start

All rounder Andrew Flintoff on Thursday expressed disappointment at England's failure to capitalise on their good start as they lost the third one-dayer by Duckworth-Lewis system to concede a 0-3 lead to India in seven-match series.

"It was disappointing the way match went today. We could not capitalise on our good start and also scored only 21 runs in the powerplays," he said after the match.

England, who were 102 for two at one stage, lost quick wickets to be reduced to 133 for four and were wrapped up for a modest total of 240 after a delayed start.

Flintoff also rued loss of time which was another factor in their defeat but said climatic factors could not be helped.

"We lost a lot of time. But there was no choice in the rough climate," he said.

With the remaining four games becoming crucial for the visitors to win the series, Flintoff said it would not be an easy task but he believed the team could do it.

"It won't be easy but we would like to do exactly that. We would like to win all the remaining games," he said.
