Jets rookie QB Ainge suspended four games for steroids
The NFL has suspended New York Jets quarterback Erik Ainge for violating the league's policy on steroids, the Jets announced on their website on Friday.
Ainge, the team's fifth-round choice in this year's draft, will be suspended four games without pay, effective immediately.
He will be eligible to rejoin the team following New York's contest against the Buffalo Bills on December 14, the Jets' site (www.newyorkjets.com) reported.
The 22-year-old has not played for the Jets this season and was placed on the team's injured reserve due to a foot injury on October 28.
