England stars on award shortlist
Four England players have been shortlisted for the Rugby League International Federation's inaugural player of the year award.
Super League Man of Steel James Graham, St Helens team-mate Leon Pryce and Leeds Rhinos pair Jamie Peacock and Rob Burrow are all in the frame.
The Australian quartet of Cameron Smith, Billy Slater, Greg Inglis and Matt Orford are also in the running.
The award is judged on achievements from October 2007 to October 2008
Performances in the World Cup will not count.
The awards night is in addition to the Golden Boot Award, which will be presented at the Australian Rugby League Players' Association annual dinner in Sydney on 29 November.
