India play Pak in ICL 20s World Series opener
ICL India will take on defending champions ICL Pakistan, led by Inzamam-ul-Haq, in the opening match of the ICL 20s World Series at the Sardar Patel Stadium in Ahmedabad on November 23.
The young Indian side, to be captained by R Satish, will play their next round-robin league match against ICL Bangladesh, to be led by former skipper Habibur Bashar, on November 26.
The fourth team in fray, ICL World under Kiwi Chris Harris, will play their first match in the four-team tournament against ICL Bangladesh on November 24.
The top two teams will qualify for the summit clash on November 29.
The tournament offers a prize purse of Rs 2.74 crore. The winners stand to gain Rs 1.25 crore and runners-up Rs 75 lakh. Winners of each match will get Rs 10 lakh while the Man of the Match will be richer by Rs 2 lakh.
