Ebbw Vale Sports Centre to open early in the New Year
FOR those of you who like your workouts early, Ebbw Vale Sports Centre will open at 6.30am in the New Year.
Starting on Monday, January 5, the sports centre will open for public sessions in the loose weights room, the lifestyle studio and swimming pool at the new earlier time.
Jason Owen, Blaenau Gwent Council’s executive member for leisure services, said: “We always try to listen to what people are telling us at Blaenau Gwent Council and opening Ebbw Vale Sports Centre earlier is another good example of how we put the customer first.
“Maintaining a healthy lifestyle is important for all of us and we are keen to encourage more people to lead an active life and get more exercise.
“We hope the new opening hours will help more people to do this from the New Year.”

Of course, the Council won't listen to people when they say they would like the Centre open over the Christmas and New Year period.
