Saina sails into Indonesia Open 2nd round
Defending champion Saina Nehwal entered the second round of the Indonesian Open badminton Wednesday with a 21-12, 21-10 victory over Bulgarian Linda Zechiri at Istora Senayan in Jakarta.
The 21-year-old Hyderabadi, who bruised her shin when she fell off a treadmill a couple of weeks ago, needed a mere 29 minutes to finish the match.
"My shin hurts sometimes. I had to take a couple of days off from training, but things are fine now," said the 21-year old, ranked No.4 in the world.
Saina now faces another Bulgarian, Petya Nedelcheva, Thursday.
