Rafael Nadal wins Olympic gold medal
Reigning Wimbledon champion Rafael Nadal of Spain defeated Fernando Gonzalez of Chile 6-3, 7-6(2), 6-3 to capture the gold medal in the Men's Single Tennis at the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games on August 17. Gonzalez took the silver medal.
