Xiao Qin wins gold in Men's Pommel Horse

Xiao Qin of China won the Pommel Horse gold with a flawless performance Sunday. Filip Ude of Croatia and Louis Smith of Great Britain were tied at 15.725 points, but Ude won the silver with a better executed performance pushing Smith to bronze.

Xiao has won the gold medals in the last three World Championships, earning him the nick-name "Pommel King". He scored 15.875 points during his performance today, just short of the 16.100 he earned in the Pommel in the Men's Team Final in which China also won gold.

Another China gymnast Yang Wei, the All-Around gold winner and a vital member of the Chinese team won the Men's Team gold, finishing fourth with 15.450.

Japan's Tomita Hiroyuki was ranked fifth with a fluent routine scoring of 15.375, followed by Kim Ji-hoon of the Republic of Korea who made 15.175. Alexander Artemev (14.975) of the United States and Jose Luis Fuentes Bustamante of Venezuela (14.650) shared the last two places after they both fell down from the horse.
