New Zealand plot final stage of grand slam tour

New Zealand will study the videos of England's humiliation at the hands of world champions South Africa before plotting the final stage of their November tour.

England are the only team standing between New Zealand and a third grand slam after the All Blacks defeated European champions Wales 29-9 at the Millennium Stadium on Saturday. Earlier, South Africa thrashed England by a record 42-6 at Twickenham.

New Zealand coach Graham Henry has finally allowed himself to talk about completing a grand slam of victories over the four home nations after his team recorded their third win on consecutive weekends without conceding a try.

"You don't want to get ahead of yourself on these things. A lot of sides have done that over the years when they've come out and talked about grand slams," Henry told a news conference.

"Now it's a reality, I think we can focus on winning a game at Twickenham with the grand slam at stake."

Henry said New Zealand's second-half performance, when they scored 23 unanswered points, was the All Blacks' best 40 minutes of the year.

He also praised Wales, who have now gone 55 years without defeating the All Blacks after winning three of the first four matches between the two countries.
